I just calculated the Arab world population from Morocco to the Gulf Arab nations, and I came up with a population of 304 million people. Which is the same population as the United States.

The countires range from some of the wealthiest countries on earth, to some of the poorest. Those poor countries are doing their best to develop, and bring up the standard of living. And that is going to take lots of electricity.

Then Iran has 70 million persons, and uses a great deal of electricity as the country has tons of industry. While some people say they should burn natural gas both in Iran and elsewhere in the gulf.. these countries are building chemical complexes to turn that natural gas into valuable products. And employ tens of thousands of their citizens in high paying jobs in the process.
